Montgomery Catholic's Newell Attends Alabama Governor's School 1Montgomery Catholic senior Chloe Newell attended the Alabama Governor’s School over the summer.
Held from June 18-30, 2017 at Samford University, the conference brought together approximately 90 gifted Alabama High School seniors to learn about various professions and majors and provided a variety of academic, creative and leadership experiences to attendees.

Newell took classes centered on health care at UAB and photography. “It was so great! I learned so much about what I want to do in college, as well as made a lot of new friends.”
Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School was proud to have Newell represent the Class of 2018 at the 30th Alabama Governor’s School Conference.
Founded in 1873, Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School is an integral part of the Catholic Church’s mission to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. As an adult community, we share in the responsibility to prepare students for college and beyond while helping them to grow to become persons of faith, virtue, and wisdom.
