Montgomery Catholic Announces Linda Belsterling ‘78 Anderson as 2020 Charlie Harbin Distinguished Service Award Winner 1Linda Belsterling ‘78 Anderson was honored by Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School on May 13 as the 2020 Charlie Harbin Distinguished Service Award winner for her service to the school.
The Charlie Harbin Distinguished Service Award was established by the Harbin family and is awarded by the school to recognize those selfless individuals who have significantly served Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School and exemplified its values in their lives.
Montgomery Catholic’s president, Mrs. Anne Ceasar, presented Linda with an engraved clock to begin the 2020 Montgomery Catholic High School Academic Awards Night in appreciation for the gift of her time. The ceremony was held via Facebook Live broadcast due to campus restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Linda Anderson not only has been an active and supportive Alum of Montgomery Catholic but also has been a wonderful parent volunteer. Over the last twenty-five years, Linda has never shied away from the behind-the-scenes work it takes to make our school great.
Linda and her husband Charlie made sure to support Catholic education in every way they could. Two of their sons are alumni, and while her boys attended, Linda was always an active part of the volunteer groups at all levels.
Linda was always seen helping out with St. Bede PTC events and, of course, continued to help out as her boys moved to the Middle School and High School campuses. She served as a room mom and team mom and has always been an active member of the Booster Club by organizing, developing, designing & raising money for Sports Annual for several years.
An original and active PICE committee member for 25 years, she volunteers her time each year for the PICE Golf Tournament and was a founding committee member of the PICE Carole Clark Scholarship.
Linda is an avid supporter of Catholic athletics, and she and Charlie can be seen at most major MCPS events, including Monte Carlo Night, which they support annually. She was a Homecoming Alumni Under the Tent event volunteer for 5+ years, and an active member and supporter of both strategic planning and capital campaign committees.
With humility and a servant’s heart, Linda has worked tirelessly to help Montgomery Catholic grow and prosper. We are so grateful for her time and efforts over the years!
Congratulations, Linda, and Thank you!
