MCPS Indoor Track – Racing Knights Break Records

The Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School Indoor Track squad of twelve went to the Crossplex January 15, 2013 and flexed some serious muscle.  First, all twelve MCPS athletes set at least one personal record.  Second, on the girls side, three school records were set, two of them are absolute records.
Eighth grade student, Kylie Frank won the 800 meter run in a Meet and had a School Record time of 2:28.50.  She also took second in the 1600 in 5:25.71.  Seventh graders, Daphne Hardy finished fifth in the shot put with a toss of 27-6.0, and Anna Stokes lowered her school record in the 60 meter dash to 9.40.
On the boys side, Winston Wright (eighth grade) took second in the 400 meters with team season best time of 57.55.  He was followed closely by fourth place Nate Smith (eighth grade) at 57.91.  The duo also scored in the 800 as Winston placed third in 2:19.16 and Nate was fifth in 2:26.68.
