Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School is proud to announce the Band members who have been selected as part of the Alabama All State and All District Honor Band. Auditions were held in Opelika on Enero 26. Band director Alex Johnson commends every student who made the trip to Opelika and tried out. He feels that with the effort to audition, his band members “distinguished themselves as dedicated musicians and top members of the MCPS Band.” Those band members accepted to the State and District Honor Bands are listed below.
Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School All-State Honor Band Members are middle school student Adam Bristol and high school students Beth Vaughan and William Russell. All-State Honor Band Alternates are High school students Katie McDaniel, Mary Reagan Starrett and Logan Stevens.
MCPS students chosen as Middle School All District Honor Band members are: Audrey Kim, 6th Chair; Adam Bristol, 1st Chair; David Bender, 4th Chair; Henry Petters, 5th Chair.
MCPS students chosen as High School All District Honor Band members are: Mary Reagan Starrett, 14th Chair; Logan Stevens,15th Chair; Beth Vaughan,1st Chair; William Russell, 2nd Chair All-District; Katie McDaniel, 7th Chair; Will Brunson, 5th Chair; Eric Crenshaw, 7th Chair.
The District Honor Band members will perform together at Auburn High School on Febrero 22 and 23. The All-State Honor Band members will perform in Huntsville on Abril 17 through 20.
