Montgomery Catholic senior Corey Cotter won the 140-pound weight class in the 14th annual Julian McPhillips wrestling tournament Saturday at St. James School. Cotter defeated Jonathan Boston of Holtville 3-2 in the finals. Cotter’s win is the first for a Catholic wrestler in the McPhillips tournament. McPhillips helped start the wrestling programs at St. James and Catholic.
