Kindergarten students at Montgomery Catholic’s St. Bede Campus recently completed a study the work of Norman Bridwell, the author and illustrator of the Clifford books. The Clifford Books were first published in 1963, which makes Clifford 48 years old. Mrs. Redden’s Kindergarten class celebrated with a birthday party for Clifford with cookies and juice. Each student in the class took Clifford, a stuffed red dog, home where they wrote a real or make-believe story of Clifford’s adventure. When Clifford and the student returned to school the next day, each student read their story to the class. The Clifford books are a big hit for all of the kindergarten students at Montgomery Catholic!
