We are proud to partner with Meals to Missions in a new and exciting fundraising event for our K3 through 12th grade school. At MCPS, we are focusing our fundraising efforts into larger, fun events rather than small, individual product sales and fill-in-the-date appeals.
With Meals to Missions (or M2M), we will raise money for our regional school to support field day events, elementary cultural days, Catholic Schools Week celebrations, teacher appreciation days, student organizations, clubs, our band program, athletic teams, as well as capital improvement needs at each of our campuses.
This Meals to Missions event is akin to bringing an international missions trip to all three of our school locations in a single day on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. In return for the blessings bestowed upon our school through this fundraiser, our entire student body will participate in packing 30,000 meals to feed the hungry both locally and globally.
Montgomery Catholic has partnered with the Heart of Alabama Food Bank and the YMCA of Greater Montgomery’s Brown Bag Bus program to distribute 2,000 meals to families in the River Region of Alabama. The Meals to Missions Foundation will take the remaining 28,000 meals our students pack on October 8 and distribute them in Ghana, Africa to the outcast women and children in several Ghanan colonies.
We hope you can join us for “Sundaes for Supper” to learn more about this exciting partnership at one of our kick-off events on Tuesday, September 10th at St. Bede Campus, on Wednesday, September 11th at our Middle/High School Campus, or on Thursday, September 12th at our Holy Spirit Campus.
