Kindergarten students at Montgomery Catholic’s St. Bede Campus have been studying all about Australia. They have learned about marsupials such as the possum, the koala, kangaroo and the Tasmanian devil. They have also studied about monotremes like the enchidna and platypus. Their favorite part has been sampling the different types of Australian food like Vegemite, scones, and fairy bread. While studying the Aboriginal culture, the students learned to make didgeridoos and boomerangs, all while keeping a journal about what they’ve learned.
