DESCRIPTION:Friday’s football game between Montgomery Catholic and Saraland has been canceled. Both schools have been in constant contact with each other since Monday regarding the development of a hurricane in the Gulf. \nThe mutual decision between both schools is the result of a variety of factors. Bottom line\, the risk of uncontrolled circumstances negatively impacting preparation\, travel\, and gameplay is too great for either team to risk. The non-region contest will not be made up this season as both teams prepare for region championship contention and the state playoffs. Next year’s matchup will remain on the schedule and will be hosted at Saraland High School. \nWhile our two schools may remain largely unaffected by Hurricane Helene\, our greater school communities and families will certainly feel the effects. Our thoughts and prayers remain with all those in the path of the storm.

DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, October 8 our campuses will be packing 30\,000 meals for the hungry in Montgomery (through the Heart of Alabama Food Bank and the YMCA Brown Bag Program) and in Ghana\, Africa. Students at each campus will have an opportunity to participate as we complete our Meals to Mission fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $150\,000 to help fund multiple campus programs and extracurriculars at Montgomery Catholic while also supporting the hungry locally and in Ghana.
