Montgomery Catholic was chosen to be the group to lead the Marzo and carry the 2018 Marzo for Life banner, thirty of those were also chosen to attend President Trump’s speech in support of the Marzo for Life in the Rose Garden at the White House before the Marzo began. All of this was in part due to alumna Agnes Armstrong ’16, an Auburn University sophomore, who was asked to be a keynote speaker at the Marzo for Life rally after sending a letter of support to Marzo for Life President Jeanne Mancini. She was impressed by Miss Armstrong which lead to the invitation to the group the school travelled with to participate in such a significant way, representing the Archdiocese of Mobile and Montgomery Catholic. After a delay because of the snow, Montgomery Catholic principal and youth group leader, Justin Castanza, MCPS faculty, parents and students along with local Catholic parish youth groups made the over night bus trip to our nation’s Capital to attend and lead.

A powerful experience,  as they joined 25,000 other Catholic’s at their first stop and attended  Mass at the Capital One Arena, before beginning their leadership roles as supporters of the Marzo for Life.
